St. Thomas Lutheran Church | Music Program

"Next to the Word of God, music deserves the highest praise."

If you like to meditate with the Psalms, click here.

In keeping with Luther's quote above, St Thomas places a high value on worship music. We would like you to be a part of it. Please consider one or both of the following ways.

The "Small Group" or Chancel Choir is made up of those who are able to read music and enjoy a broad spectrum of styles from moderately contemporary to liturgical.
We continue to practice twice a month immediately following the late service. Due to the irregular practice schedule this fall, please contact Jo Ann Van Scyoc at with any questions. We enjoy adding voices in from time to time as the provides more opportunities for worship participation.

If the Lord has blessed you with the talent of singing, please consider joining us.

The bell choir is always eager for members, so if you are musically inclined but not necessarily in the voice sector, consider glorifying God with handbells. You do not need to know how to play handbells already, the learning process is easy. Please consider being part of the group by contacting Jo Ann Van Scyoc at to let her know of your interest.

Our mission at St. Thomas is to build the community spiritually by spreading the Gospel truth of Jesus' love. We proclaim one message -- the message of forgiveness, peace and hope that is only found at the foot of the cross. >>
